Who are we?
We are a diverse group of concerned citizens working to encourage and facilitate the informed and active participation of Iranian-Americans in the democratic process.
We believe that informed citizen participation and establishment of strong civic cultures are critical in helping ensure a functioning democracy and meaningful citizen control over the political process.
We think that by exercising our right to vote and through active civic participation, Iranian-Americans will be able to establish a real voice that will not only empower us to hold our elected representatives accountable, but will also enable our community to safeguard its civil liberties, as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States.
We are a non-partisan, nonprofit organization established in 2002.
What do we do?
We facilitate voter registration and civic participation through a combination of online and offline civic education, issue advocacy, and grassroots community initiatives.
We educate ourselves and others on issues affecting the Iranian American community, and act on key issues.
Our Web site acts as a non-partisan empowerment tool, providing Iranian-Americans with reliable election information, congressional report cards, and issues polling, together with news, articles, and opinions on matters of importance to the community.
We build bridges and alliances with other community-based groups to address our common concerns and safeguard our common interests.
We do not support or oppose any political party or candidate |
